Thanksgiving

Gratitude is one of the most powerful emotions. More and more studies are showing that gratitude leads to increased well-being.

As Charles Burke says: "Success is a skill. Happiness is a skill. Gratitude is a skill. Like all skills, they must be practiced clumsily before they can be done naturally. So, if you'll devote ten honest days to the practice of feeling true gratitude and happiness, I can promise you a dazzling new skill. A skill that just naturally attracts success like a magnet draws iron. Because nothing attracts good fortune and success like a joyous, grateful heart."

This Thanksgiving strengthen your gratitude with one or more of these exercises for 10 days:Keep a gratitude journal and list at least 10 blessings a day
  • Write and give a letter of gratitude or appreciation to someone
  • Begin and/or end each day by meditating on your blessings
  • Surprise your family and friends by leaving gratitude notes in unexpected places
  • Acknowledge a stranger who does a good deed
  • Spread the spirit of gratitude by sharing these ideas with others
These exercises only take a few minutes a day for the effects are long-lived. Remember to be grateful for some of your challenges as they often turn out to be gifts in disguise.

It is my hope that you will try at least one of these exercises and benefit from more well-being, happiness and success!
